THIS IS SO DUMB
Yeah, i did inquire online about some refi options, and i do think this company is an actual company. That assumed, they called over a month after i was considering a refi (reputable lenders like TDBank called within a few days and did not call multiple times). They bounced back and forth between my cell and work numbers, never leaving a message. When i asked them to stop calling, they wouldn't take no for an answer. The conversation got very high pressure sales at that point, and their rep became just flat out rude. Even if this was a real company, who'd buy a mortgage from them. Don't call them back and hopefully they'll go away. We'll see if my (repeated) requests to get them to stop ever do get them to stop.
a company called loan depot, they conduct phone 'phishing' so they call and hang up without leaving a message, then answer the phone when you call to figure out who is calling you. this way they don't spend money on the calls (if they hang up before it "connect" - usually a couple of seconds) AND they KNOW that a live body is calling them when you call them back. When you call, they apologize profusely for "problems with our call system, we're trying to get it fixed". Don't buy it, its a scam...smart, but still a cheezy way to do business.
anyone know who this is? Receiving calls constantly on my cell and no message is ever left. Assume if it someone who knows me they would leave a message, they don't.
This # calls my cell everyday. I think its a telemarket &, they probably get some kind of credit for just calling a # whether thay speak to someone or not.
I only have this phone number a few months. Most of the calls are survey, wrong numbers, and like that. I did get one call from newsday and declined to buy a subscription. Since then, about three - five times a week I have been getting these hang-up calls, so today I did *69 to get the last number that called me and it this 570 #. Makes no sense since all they ever do is hang up. Why bother to even call if it is telemarketing and not say anything? I think it is the way these weird types get back at you for not buying or cancelling a subscription. Anyone know anything about call bloking? It might be worth a try.
I cancelled newsday two days ago, I believe its them
Calling all day long. Does not leave a message. This must stop.
I started getting these calls after I cancelled my newsday subscription, (communist rag). No message, only hang-ups, even when I picked up on the first ring. Usually can't leave a message. They called me six times in one day. I called my T-mobile service center, but they wouldn't provide me with an address for these [***]. Their automated voicemail response identifies them as "metro news". If anyone can get me an address, I'd greatly appreciate it!
calls multiple times a day, no messages. picked up the last time and it sounded like someone put the phone down and forgot to hang up. it's a call center based in PA for Newsday solicitation. spam
Repeated calls several times a day (6 calls on 2/3/12) no message left
call me 2-3 times a day. same thing, they never leave a msg and when i pick up the line goes dead.
They call me 4 times a day from 8:30 am till 8:45 pm. I don't answer and they don't leave any message. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
I just cancelled Newsday last week and the calls started. I've ignored all their calls and looking at the threads I believe it is them.
yea, i actually picked up this call. it was news day asking me to subscribe to their newspaper. so annoying.
It did the same to me. Metro news. No message left and calls my cell repeatedly.
When I tried to call it back it went to a recording that says "metro news is not available." I believe its a Newsday sales call.
i called and received a recording to leave a message for Metro News. The mail box was full so I couldn't tell them to stop calling.
This is Newsday.
Keeps calling doesn't talk to me or even leave a message. Very annoying and has to stop
